Center for Teaching & Learning Excellence (CTLE)
The Center for Teaching & Learning Excellence is an invaluable resource that the university provides for faculty. CTLE offers a variety of services to all University of Utah instructors with an emphasis on best pedagogical practices and strategies for teaching in higher education. Teaching & Learning Technologies (TLT)
Teaching & Learning Technologies (TLT) was formed in January 2012 by merging the Technology Assisted Curriculum Center, Instructional Media Services, and University Information Technology (UIT) Media-On-Demand services. It is both a service unit within UIT, reporting to CIO Steve Hess, and a department within Academic Affairs, reporting to Senior Associate Vice President for Undergraduate Studies Martha Bradley.
TLT employs 21 full-time professional staff and 30+ part-time student employees, providing technology and media support for the physical and virtual teaching spaces for the university. Service desks and staff workspaces are located in the Marriott Library. In addition, TLT provides the primary systems, instructional technology consultation, and proctored exam services to directly support online courses at the University.
