Promoting her film, "There Was, There Was Not," Department of Film & Media Arts Assistant Professor Emily Mkrtichian partnered with five Media and Cultural organizations, including ArteEast, Slow Factory, Everything is Political and Armenian Film Society, completed 10 post-screening Q&A's with film critics, activists, and filmmakers, and sold over 600 tickets to her film. Additionally, her film was highlighted in Letterboxd’s "October 2025 picks” article.
