By international invitation, School of Dance's Associate Professor Jay Kim embarked on new choreography projects in Korea:
- On 7/12, Kim’s new work, “Chockepoint,” was selected to be performed in the finale for the opening performance of the 2026 Jeju International Dance Festival (JIDANCE). “Chockepoint,” was a collaboration with “Rising Tide Dance Theatre” and his own company, “Utah Ballet Theatre.”
- Kim collaborated with choreographer Shin Seung-min for a new work, “Metamorphosis,” that will be presented in Contemporary Dance Company of Korea’s “Regional Living Project: CHOREO CONNECTION” from 9/4–5 in Gwangju–Jeonnam.
