Marion Stiebel Siciliano Utah Fine Arts Institute Scholarship

Criteria

The Marion Stieble Siciliano Utah Fine Arts Institute (Siciliano UFAI) was established in 2001 by Rocco Siciliano and his children, Loretta and Vincent, in honor of Marion Stiebel Siciliano to support fine arts students. The Siciliano UFAI awards annual scholarships to promising undergraduate scholars in the College of Fine Arts. The Siciliano UFAI scholarship is $4,000, divided in equal payments in Fall and Spring Semesters. Siciliano UFAI awards are intended to acknowledge excellence achieved by undergraduate students pursuing scholarly interests in the history, theory, and/or criticism of their arts discipline (such as art history, film criticism, dramaturgy, music theory, musicology, etc.). This application requires a 5-7 page sample of scholarly work, a personal essay, a current Degree Audit Report, and two letters of recommendation. Only complete applications will be considered. 

Applicants must be undergraduate students majoring in the College of Fine Arts. Applicants must have earned a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants must have earned a minimum of nine University of Utah credit hours at the upper-division level (i.e., 3000 or 4000 level courses) in their declared fine arts major. Recipients of the Siciliano UFAI Scholarship must maintain full-time status, a 3.0 GPA, and remain in good standing within their department.
