Welcome!

After you have been admitted to the University and paid your enrollment deposit, the next step is New Student Orientation. Below is general information about the College of Fine Arts Academic Advising & Course Registration portion of New Student Orientation. Below is College of Fine Arts Orientation information for students enrolling in Spring 2022.

 

Step 1: Complete online University orientation and RSVP for a College of Fine Arts Zoom registration meeting.

This session will fulfill your Orientation requirement to meet with an academic advisor. The RSVP information is available in the New Student Orientation canvas course under the Connect with your Academic College module.

After you RSVP, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for joining the meeting. If you do not, please check your junk mail. Please save the Zoom link to your calendar and keep the invitation for future reference. If you do not have access to a computer with a camera (or the internet), please contact the College of Fine Arts ASAP at 801.585.1416. 

 

    • When: Dec 8, 2021 02:00 PM Mountain Time (US and Canada): REGISTER!!

 

    • When: Dec 15, 2021 02:00 PM Mountain Time (US and Canada): REGISTER!!

 

    • When: Dec 17, 2021 09:00 AM Mountain Time (US and Canada): REGISTER!!

 

    • When: Dec 22, 2021 02:00 PM Mountain Time (US and Canada): REGISTER!!

 

Step 2: Attend your scheduled College of Fine Arts Zoom registration meeting and register for your first semester classes.

 At the College of Fine Arts Zoom registration meeting, you will meet our academic advising team & CFA Create Success Interns.  We will help you register for the first semester classes. An email with the Zoom session details was sent to the email you used to RSVP. If you RSVPd and did not receive an email, please check your junk mail folder. If you do not have access to a computer with a camera (or the internet), please contact the College of Fine Arts ASAP at 801.585.1416.

Follow-up items after your CFA Orientation Zoom Advising & Registration Session.

  • Review the University's General Catalog to learn about your major. Here is a link to the College of Fine Arts in the General Catalog: General Catalog
  • The schedule you created during your CFA Orientation Zoom Advising & Registration Session will be reviewed by a CFA Advisor. If changes need to be made to your schedule, a CFA Advisor will email you at your Umail. If your schedule changes after you've emailed it to our CFA advising team, please send a new screenshot of your schedule to
  • Remember to regularly check your Umail!  Review the following Umail website, if you have questions or issues regarding your Umail.  
  • Attend your semester classes and visit Create Success for helpful information about how to succeed at the U!
