Sean hails from Hershey, Pennsylvania, but is happy to call Utah home. He is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Media Studies. He has also earned a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from Southern Utah University.
While at PSU, Sean completed the Air Force ROTC training program earning him an officer’s commission upon graduation. He served on active duty for seven years in the Contracting and Public Affairs career fields. He has been stationed in New Hampshire, Germany, and Utah, and deployed to Baghdad in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005. In 2006, Sean had the unique opportunity to travel the world with the Air Force’s premier entertainment showcase, Tops in Blue. On the tour he performed as a vocalist and served as the group’s Operations Officer.
Sean left the Air Force in October 2007 to pursue a career in the performing arts. He has since been seen across the Wasatch Front at various venues to include Hale Centre Theatre, The Grand Theatre, Salt Lake Acting Company, and The Egyptian Theatre (Park City). Some of his favorite roles include Papa Ge in “Once on this Island” (HCT and The Grand), Belize in “Angels in America: Parts I & II” (SLAC), Willie Johnson in “Miss Evers’ Boys” (The Grand) and Reverend Sykes in “To Kill a Mockingbird” (HCT).
Sean started at the U in 2016 as an Office Assistant in the School of Dance. Over the next six years he rose to become the School’s Administrative Assistant. Sean was awarded the College of Fine Arts Staff Excellence Award for Exceptional Service in the College in 2021.
Sean joined the Dean’s Office in the College of Fine Arts in January 2023, where he currently serves as Executive Assistant to the Associate Vice President for the Arts/Dean, College of Fine Arts.
