Each year, the School of Dance's Character Dance Ensemble (CDE) travels internationally to learn traditional and contemporary dances and immerse themselves in cultural studies. Adjunct Associate Professor Justine Sheedy-Kramer (Dance) has been leading these trips for many years and this year, she traveled with dance students to Germany.

CDE dance students participated in a week of ballet and Sorbian dance classes with the Sorbisches National-Ensemble in Bautzen, then spent a few days in Dresden where they presented repertoire and participated in rehearsal with the Thea Mass Folkloretanzensemble, toured the renowned Palucca University of Dance, and saw Johan Inger's "A Swan Lake" at Semperoper Dresden.
