CFA Academic Advisor Rae Luebbert (Modern Dance '18) will premiere an evening length dance performance "a long side: a queer double portrait" in collaboration with dance artist Emily Ames and musician Amelia Diehl from 2/21–2/22.
Rooted in melding live performance and filmed dance, Rae and Emily center queer art and community, imagine possibilities and overlaps with Amelia Diehl's live music and composition, and joyfully embrace "queer" as a verb. In other words, they've spent five-ish years researching, playing, experimenting, writing, and dancing about queer visual art, and the development of this work is what we have to show for it.
