School of Music's Director of Opera and Voice Professor, Robert Breault returns from the National Opera Association's (NOA) annual conference where he gave a presentation and received two national awards on behalf of the University of Utah for "A.L.IC.E.," “Amahl and the Night Visitors," and "Christmas Carol” in the Opera Production Competition.

Breault is serving on the NOA as the Cal/Western Governor and was elected to the Board of Directors last year

"I’m really proud of our opera students and team. Both of the productions that we submitted last year won prizes at the national level.  The competition is quite fierce but we really fared well!!"

At this year's 2025 NOA conference in Savannah, GA, A.L.I.C.E. won 3rd Place in Division VI in the NOA's Opera Production Competition.
