Recipients do not apply for the Fine Arts Advisory Board scholarship. They are nominated directly by their CFA academic unit. Academic units typically nominate students in March.
The College of Fine Arts Advisory Board (FAAB) was established in 1992 by the J. George Jones, Jr. Trust to provide scholarship support for students within the College of Fine Arts. The FAAB awards $2,000 annual scholarships to Fine Arts undergraduate majors who have demonstrated excellence in their chosen field.
FAAB Scholarship Qualifications
- Recipients do not apply for the Fine Arts Advisory Board scholarship. They are nominated directly by their academic unit.
- Recipients must be a current, full-time, declared undergraduate major in the College of Fine Arts and have Junior or Senior status for the 2024-25 academic year.
- Recipients must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Recipients must maintain full-time status, a 3.0 GPA, and remain in good standing within their department.
- Students interested in the FAAB scholarship should contact their academic unit (Department of Art & Art History, School of Dance, Department of Film & Media Arts, School of Music or Department of Theatre) for information about their scholarship nomination process.
