First-Year MAP Advising

Students majoring in the College of Fine Arts (CFA) with a First-Year MAP hold will need to meet with a CFA Academic Advisor. First-Year MAP holds prevent you from registering for future semesters. Your First-Year MAP hold will be removed after meeting with a CFA Academic Advisor. If you do not meet with a CFA Academic Advisor, you will continue to have a registration hold on your record. Carefully read the information about how to meet with a CFA Academic Advisor below. 

 Department of Art & Art History Students majoring in the Department of Art & Art History, please make a CFA Advising Appointment.  Department of Film & Media Arts Students majoring in the Department of Film & Media Arts, please make a CFA Advising Appointment. When scheduling your appointment in Navigate, select the service "Milestone Advising (MAP)". If you cannot find an appointment time, please email This email address is being protected from spambots.  Department of Theatre
  • The CFA Advising Team will join THEA1001 and THEA2652 during class on October 4. If you are currently enrolled in either of these courses, you do not need to schedule an appointment. If you will not be in class this day, please notify your instructor and make a CFA Advising Appointment (select service: "Milestone Advising (MAP)"). 
  • If you are a Department of Theatre student with a FY MAP hold and you are not enrolled in THEA1001 or THEA2652, please schedule a CFA Advising Appointment.  School of Dance
  • The CFA Advising Team will join DANC1710 and BALLE1401 during class on September 27. If you are currently enrolled in either of these courses, you do not need to make an appointment. If you will not be in class this day, please notify your instructor and make a CFA Advising Appointment (select service: "Milestone Advising (MAP)"). 
  • If you are a School of Dance student with a First-Year MAP hold and you are not enrolled in DANC1710 or BALLE1401, please schedule a CFA Advising Appointment.  School of Music
