We call the U’s annual Arts Bash event your “passport to the arts” for two reasons, one a little more literal than the other:
- When you attend, you snag a passport (and maybe some free food) and collect stamps by visiting a bunch of cool booths on Library Plaza. When your passport is full of stamps, you can redeem it for a free t-shirt, swag, and a chance to win a huge prize pack that includes an iPad (deets below)!
- By visiting the booths, you’ll learn when, where, and what types of arts you can experience on campus as a student at the University of Utah.
The arts at the U have been a pillar of the creativity that makes our campus vibrant and innovative since the very beginning — 175 years of artistic exploration, making, and culture. And each year we party hard in celebration of the hundreds of arts experiences U students have access to for free or deeply discounted prices through the Arts Pass program — all you need is your UCard.

It's the program that allows you to use your Ucard to get free or deeply-discounted access to exhibitions, performances, concerts, screenings and virtual events.
This is open to all University of Utah students and includes screenings, performances, concerts, and exhibitions by our students and faculty, and also provides free or discounted access to the professional arts organizations on campus: UtahPresents, Pioneer Theatre Company, and the Utah Museum of Fine Art.
