There’s a new kind of Master designation at the U and it was granted to our very own Communications Specialist and Grant Writer Emeri Fetzer at this year’s Swoopy Awards hosted by the University of Utah Central Development office.IMG 3092

The event highlights the best of the U’s fundraising efforts and advancement professionals, and the College of Fine Arts was recognized thanks to Fetzer’s incredible leadership on a complex development campaign that raised nearly $21,000 from 145 gifts — all of which supports the college and its five academic units.

Fetzer’s Giving Day Master Award is a reflection of her hard work, thoughtful strategy, and artful collaboration with the advancement and marcomm teams along with folks in the units. With her vision and inspired leadership, she provided a chance for the CFA community — including 54 alumni — to come together in support of the next generation of creative thinkers.

At the ceremony, Director of Annual Giving, Campaigns and Digital Engagement Kelsey Rodgers said, “Emeri Fetzer, on behalf of the College of Fine Arts, and the five academic units within the college, has built an outstanding Giving Day campaign over the last five years. Each year, the campaign remains original, meaningful and relevant. Emeri has a knack for telling our students’ stories and connecting with and building our patron base. Thank you for consistently being amazing at all things Giving Day and always remaining calm in the face of Community Funded challenges, Emeri.”

Thank you Master Fetzer and each of you who took part in making Giving Day a successful fundraiser. You are catalyzing important growth in our college. Congratulations!
