Distinguished Alumni Awards get new sparkle

August 21 2018

In our second decade of the College of Fine Arts Distinguished Alumni Awards, we're changing things up.

We look forward to unveiling more details as the event nears, but for now, please plan to join us in the Nancy Peery Marriott Auditorium in Kingsbury Hall on Wednesday, September 26 at 7P for a powerful evening of diverse art and proud celebration of the past, the present, and the potential of the University of Utah College of Fine Arts.

In addition to seeing work from each of our five academic units, we’ll be honoring three alumni with our new awards.

We are pleased to present Claudia Sisemore (MFA Film & Media Arts) with our new Legacy Award, which honors an alum whose seasoned and successful career has brought deserved acclaim not just to them but to the program(s) from which they attended here at the University of Utah as well.

Rosa Vissers (MFA Modern Dance) is our new Horizon Award recipient, which honors an accomplished mid-career alum on the rise.

Finally, we will celebrate Neil Hendriksen (Bachelor of Music) and with the Arts Educator Award, dedicated to highlighting an alum who has made significant contributions in the area of arts education.

Students, alumni, faculty, staff, community members are all invited.

This event is free and open to the public.
