When does the semester start?

- Please note that this calendar is subject to change as the university adapts to the current situation.
- Important dates to look for include the start date of your classes and the weeks of online-only instruction.
Will I meet with my academic advisors in-person or online?
- Advising appointments can be scheduled for in-person, telephone, or video.

Are tutoring services available?
- The Learning Center offers free tutoring for all University of Utah students. Visit learningcenter.utah.edu for more information.
- The Math Center and Writing Center also provide free tutoring.
Where can I see information about the classes I'm registered for?

What should I do if I need to defer/take a leave of absence?
- If you are a newly accepted student wanting to defer your admission, go through the Office of Admissions at utah.edu/deferment
- If you are a matriculated student wanting to take a leave of absence, information can be found through the Office of the Registrar at utah.edu/handbook/leave
If this semester is difficult for me, who can I talk to?
- Currently enrolled students are eligible for Counseling Center Services. Visit counselingcenter.utah.edu to see session pricing, mental health resources, and COVID-19 support.
- If you want to talk to someone about your collegiate path, the Student Success Advocates are available for individual appointments or drop-in hours. Find them at ssa.utah.edu

Where can I purchase food on campus?

- If food insecurity is a concern, the FeedU Pantry is located in the Union Building and provides non-perishable food items to anyone with University ID. Find their hours at Food Pantry Hours
What if I have technology needs/questions?

Where can I find information about tuition/fees
- Questions about tuition and housing fees can be answered through the Income Accounting and Student Loan Services at fbs.admin.utah.edu/income

How do I find information about student housing?

How do I know what the proper protocol for being safe on-campus is?

- Make sure to frequently check your UMail for updates as well!

How can I get involved in the College of Fine Arts?
- ArtsPass provides you free or discounted admission to all College of Fine Arts events and performances with your UCard!
- FAF Grants financially supports CFA Sponsored student group extracurricular experiences. You can visit the FAF Grants website or contact your FAF Grants Representative for more information.
- ArtsForce connects you to workshops and events that highlights the value of your arts degree and helps you develop professional skills.
- UtahPresents hosts events for U students and the community, including performances, conferences, and touring shows.
How can I get involved on campus?
- All student organizations and student groups can be found through Campus Connect or at utah.edu.
- Other involvement opportunities can be found through the Student Union, the Student Life Center, or in on-campus jobs.
- Updates on athletic events can be found at utahutes.com
Where can I study on campus? Are there any studying tips for online courses?
- The Marriott Library is open and taking safety precautions. Review their spaces and guidelines at lib.utah.edu/spaces. Other open campus spaces include the Student Union Ballroom, Gardner Commons, and Eccles Business Buildings. Wi-Fi will also be available in parking lots and in outdoor spaces like the UMFA patio.
