Kate Wolsey

CFA Internship Coordinator

Kate Wolsey has spent the last six years working with students in various positions at the University of Utah, most recently as an Academic Advisor in the College of Fine Arts. In her time as an advisor, she has further developed interests for helping students network with professionals, find opportunities to build on classroom learning, and explore the working world. A College of Fine Arts graduate, Kate understands the importance of the award winning ArtsForce program and the value it has in helping College of Fine Arts students articulate the meaning of their degree. She has had the opportunity to participate in ArtsForce for the past year and looks forward to her continued involvement with the program.

Kate is a Utah native. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Media Arts from the University of Utah. Outside of her career, Kate is best known for her quirky illustrations, linoleum relief portraits, and most recently for her bright colored fiber art. She has shown her work in several solo and group shows in Salt Lake City. Her art has been featured on Video West and in the City Weekly magazine among others. When Kate is not making art, she loves visiting National Parks, exploring big cities or small towns, ice cream, good coffee, and colorful sneakers.
