Utah Flagship Scholarship
The Utah Flagship Scholarship is a University of Utah scholarship for Utah resident high school seniors who will be entering freshmen, based on cumulative GPA and course rigor.
The University of Utah recognizes that students with high artistic talent enrich the experiences of the greater university community. The Utah Flagship Scholarship in the CFA recognizes incoming freshmen students who through the audition and portfolio processes demonstrate high artistic merit and potential. This scholarship awards Utah resident students for up to 4 academic years or graduation, whichever comes first. This scholarship awards Utah resident students full tuition - fees not included - up to and including 18 hours per semester for 4 academic years or graduation, whichever comes first.
To qualify for the Utah Flagship Scholarship in the CFA, students must be:
- Incoming Utah resident freshmen, who demonstrate high artistic merit and potential in one of the Bachelor's degree areas within the College of Fine Arts (Department of Art & Art History, School of Dance, School of Music, Department of Theatre, Department of Film & Media Arts),
- Admitted to the University of Utah, and, if applicable, be accepted through audition in the College of Fine Arts' academic unit,
- Nominated by the College of Fine Arts' academic unit
